I say we use the corpses of those with poor buoyancy to lure mama gator to a new home. Last week she wasn't there when someone checked. I'm all about conservation, but to outright ban diving there unless you are a friend of so-n-so? Not good. Guided would be fine with me, with a checkout dive prior. I've got nothing to hide and would rather anyone who did not dive it. Sign up to dive it, when your turn pops up and conditions warrant it you go.

Here I sit in my IDC learning how to pass any diver to minimum standards. If all we expect is the minimum, the minimum will be achieved.

Ken and I walked back there last spring just for a look-see. Water bird heard us stalking in and alerted the gator. Heard a HUGE keplunk and mega rings. She's not a small one that's for sure.

There are 3 kinds of people in this world; those who are good at math, and those who are not.

I stopped by not too long ago during an unusual time for the basin to be clear, when the gator saw us she headed right into the cave. I talk to the rangers frequently who patrol back there, and they report seeing some babies. I would hate to be anybody in the water if momma feels her babies are threatened, then again,it could be some cheap gear to be had on ebay.

The only way I was ever able to sneek up on her to get a look at her was after a rain when the crunchy leaves turned soggy...she's BIG! and that was two years ago.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.
