It would be great if Bonnet would be divable on a regular basis. With the lingering effects of a long drought,and the increased local water demands,Bonnet's window of being being divable is so small. We can say "if" the gator wasn't there,but it wouldn't improve the 5-10' viz.

I was in Peacock right after it reopened earlier this year, the cave had "Healed" quite a bit from past diver transgressions but It's getting right back to the way it was before the flood. Even past Olsen there are 4" deep hand prints and a multitude of fin gashes in the bottom. I was very unhappy to see the system degrade so quickly. Stuff happens, but that much in just a few months?

I guess that's why people who get to dive Bonnet want to keep it closed to the public.

I noted the same thing. We made a trip there right after things opened after the flood and trhe new floor was fantastic - and three months later it was almost back to "normal" and not just in the high traffic training areas.

Who teaches these ******** to cave dive and passes them?
