    Default been on the suwannee?

i'm wanting to head to the suwannee tomorrow hitting telford and some other sites but was curious if anyone had been out on that stretch of water lately? We were up at stephen foster state park a week ago and couldn't find water shallow enough to run our shallow draft inflatable in... question is, will I be able to run my boat? I need at least 12" to run...

planning to put in at the boat ramp on hwy 51 just south of lauraville...

Shallow enough, or deep enough? Yep, the river is down, and most of the runs are only a few inches deep. The Little River run is up above the river right now.

You may have some difficulty with boat trailers at many of the boat ramps... Here is an evening picture of the Telford landing from 3 days ago:

It certainly isn't because it hasn't rained lately in Georgia!

FWIW, two weeks ago we were unable to use the main Telford ramp to launch, but the ramp south of the bridge was great, and we had no problems getting up to Telford from there.

i'm not worried about a trailor since my boat is inflatable and I usually assembly/pump it up right near the water and slide it in... I just want to make sure my little 9.8hp short shaft motor won't be dragging along the bottom. I was planning to hit telford but wanted to head a few miles south on the river to check out some other areas and wasn't sure what i'd run into since I hadn't been on this stretch of the river yet.

You will be fine in mid river, but be careful going in to shore, or a spring run.
