    Default FS:Tekna DV-3X (military version) $750.00

For sale is a complete mil-spec DV-3X Tekna. This scooter is all original except for the handles. Supposedly, it is one of few examples of the scooters used by the Navy Seals once upon a time. Several years ago I had it rebuilt by Steve Gamble. He installed one of his best rewound armatures that has run a steady cool 1000 rpm's since. It has never been flooded or exploded and has never seen any more than 110' of depth. Included are metal blades, a metal front plate(not installed), a spares package, and a DV-3X instruction manual. A charger is not included in this price. If you want one, it will be a Schumacher from the auto parts store for this price. I can get an Interactor, but it would be extra $$. The scooter is located near Fort White and can be delivered to Orlando (DEMA) later this week.

    Thanks, Frank (fno@windstream.net)

I'd be interested in metal front plate.

If the new owner doesn't want it, you can have it.

Price drop to $700.00 otherwise I will part it out and use the motor in something else.

    Just some thoughts...

A used Mako will go in the $800 range

Most Makos will have motors in the 650-750 rpm range and probably run in the 160 fpm range a full pitch. A 1000 rpm re-wind on a mako is going to cost around $400. This tekna already has a 1000 rpm motor and should run in the 200 fpm range.

This one also has the metal front plate and metal blades - worth another $200 or so.

The negatives are the lack of a charger and the various problem with the external charging plug on a Tekna.

So...$700 is in some respects a great price and in others not so much. It really depends on what a diver wants and what they are starting with, but it would be a shame to part it out as it should be a great performing scooter.

If you do part it out, I'd be interested in the prop, the nose plate and the handles
