Default Pinnacle Arctic Semi-Dry - questions

.... to those of you who have 'em (I know there's a few of you out here!)

    I'm thinking of getting one.

First, how do you like it? How warm does it keep you?

Second - can a P-valve be successfully put in one? Any downsides to doing so, or is it simply not workable? You can't pee in a semi-dry without creating a permanent stink - and that's a major drawback I can see to these suits.

    Comments please!

(No, my TLS350 is not going away. Just looking for something with lower drag for lighter stuff in the caves)

It's an awsome suit. I am now diving one.

Yes, a pee valve and be added if you wish. Steve Gamble will be putting one in for me soon.

It doesn't pinch and such? I'd think it would, but if you've seen people with it and its been ok, that's cool. Who's P-valve are you using? They're not hard to make up out of Delrin pretty cheap.

The pee valve leaves a mark on my leg, not anything noticable.. no pinching.

The best prices that I have seen are at LB's.

I think for ladies that requires a certain amounting of trimming and then the application of a certain item (similar to a soft oval cup) that has a certain amount of glue for adhesion - kinda like a cup. Removing it was no fun I was told. I am trying to be respectful with this rather delicate subject.

For me I will gladly just pee in my suit; hangout for a second and enjoy the view. Easiest way for me to wash it out was to walkout; drop my gear walk back in and open all of the zippers and then flush water through the suit. If I had to wear it that evening or the next day a little water and no stink into the garbage bag- shake, rinse hang. Then I purchased a blue plastic container from Target for about $8.00 and it all goes in there. That way if it knocked over in the car- no foul.

    Have a fun dive. Andrew
