Anyone having problems with Halcyon wings forcing a head down position?

not me. i've been diving the same one for 5 years or more. 55lb lift, one top and one bottom hole for bolts, so no options on placement. just dove it today for the umpteenth time with no problems. it's looking a bit worn, but has 500+ dives on it so it's about time...I think. or should it still look new?

The problem may be that your tanks are sitting too high. Loosen the shoulder webbings so that the tanks sit lower on your back. With a little adjustment, the problem should be fairly easy to solve.

I tried an Eclipse wing when I got into doubles. I was trimmed out for a DR Classic and I got head heavy in the donut wing. Some adjustments would have corrected this I'm sure...

I have been diving one for 6+ years and haven't had any issues.

I'm on my second 55#, carrying around my first for a backup. No issues with a heads-down position either when using doubles or rebreather.

Did have an issue with the inflator valve a few years ago, but Halycon did a recall and took care of that.

Have now cut out most of the fabric around where the wings attach (around the backplate) so that my RB hoses don't have to run "over" the wings and everything works fine. Even changed out the inflator hose for an Air2 with dump valve at the wings elbow with no issues.

Would like to find a drysuit that was as flexible and dependable.

Rebreathers are something that we have to go to in order to dive the way we want to dive. They are not something we go to for any other reason.
