I would second that. Or maybe Zacaton (sp?) - isn't that where Exley died. Those are deep, just like Everest is tall. Everest isn't the hardest to climb, just the tallest. I'd say Bushman's is probably not the hardest to dive, just one of the deepest.

There a really good book about that expedition... Beyond the Deep: The Deadly Descent Into the World's Most Treacherous Cave

p.s. this is not my mt Everest, it's definitely too crazy for me
That was quite an expedition! My friend, Barbara (squirrel girl), was co-author, and one of the principal explorers on that trip. It was a hair-raising read, and I certainly can't imagine actually participating! Wow! Her accounts of the hardships faced in the name of exploration make me feel like a COMPLETE weinie!

Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.

Yeah. That was an awesome story. Would have liked to have been there (maybe).

The "Mt Everest" for me is to stay healthy enough to continue diving and generally being active into my 70's and beyond, and to stay curious enough to care if I do. All the rest is bullshit.

Yea, the best way to stay healthy is not going for any deep Everests.

SO, I should give up my quest to get an original Martz reel from Frank?

If it was in fresh water, maybe, but...
How many people, other than me, would even get that?
