Default Address of Caves, etc....help please.

I am updating my GPS...I lost ALL my set points and address of "Cave Country" caves, fill stations, food, lodging...and so on.

If you have an address or cross street to the caves please post. Also interested in the other items listed above. I won't be in up north until November and just want to update them now.

    Thanks in advance!

I get the GPS coordinates off of Walter's site (tampadiving.com).

Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.

    Ditto. Go to this list:

    http://www.tampadiving.com/sections/...ve_systems.asp

Then click on a system and the coordinates will display on the right hand side of the page. Just make sure you select the right coordinates format for your GPS system.

The coordinates for peacock will take you to the rangers entrance on the wrong side of the park.

Okay...now another problem. I am attempting to use the GPS on my phone (telenav) and it is address or intersection only. I can enter coordinates, but I have to put it in "walking" mode and well, you can't drive and use walking mode.

So, back to square one... cross streets or address? Anyone? I can "mark points" and save them when I am in the actual area, but would like them ahead of time.

Crap...maybe time to buy a good GPS system.

What kind of phone do you have? If it's capable of running Google Maps, I find that's a very capable map/gps/directions program. You can enter the coordinates from tampadiving.com, search google for the locations, or just scroll around to them. You can also save them as favorites. It will also do directions, but not as well as a navigation program. It's more of a "here's a map and the steps, now go do it."
