The most recent thing I can find that Jochen did was in 1999

1996: Jochen Hasenmayer produces a submarine for his Blautopf explorations. He achieves an 80m penetration and discovers (according to his opinion) "the remains of an underground river bed" which leads him to very controversial conclusions about the age of the karstification process

1999:In Blautopf Jochen Hasenmayer proceeds to the so called "Joch", a restriction some 240 m from the entrance pit using his self-constructed submarine.

....I am still sure I read about some other cave research he had done in a PDF..but I cannot find it.Maybe some posters from Germany can find more recent info?

He certainly was a pioneer -as you read about cave diving history in Germany etc..you see his name on MANY discoveries..he also created some pretty unique and fascinating gear.

Imagine if Sheck/Jochen and Oliver Isler had gotten together as a cave diving team

I scoured plongeesout and German karst sites and found little
