I actually have two personal friend with swords. One has a samurai sword and the other a broadsword (not a toy one, a *real* one).

Anyway, yeah, it's pretty pathetic and very sad that someone swiped from the museum.

Is that because you guys aren't allowed to have guns??? I think you have to get awfully close to someone to get them with a katana.... glad the homeowner defended his domain and fared well..

It would be interesting to find out who the museum burglar was and what he/she intended to do with the loot, if it shows up on e-Bay.....

It might not have been cave divers. Maybe not divers at all.

Wasn't there some guy who kept coming by the store and jamming rolls of toilet paper in the drain and flushing? He was just a crazy old guy that lived in the area.

Of course the items that were stolen might indicate a cave diver - but with nutcases like him out there it could be hard to tell.

IIRC I think that was Steamboat, unless of course you count me as the crazy old guy..... Cindy and friends are here now locking stuff down, so hopefully this will put a stop to this nonsense, crap like this makes we want to take advantage of the 2nd amendment!

It is truly dissapointing...
and while I understand the circumstances indicate a cave diver, I was there getting fills and some guy was wandering around in and out while we were getting our fills. Turns out he ask some strange questions about open water training and then left. He was sketchy enough that I tried to let him know I was keeping an eye on him while he was in the store and nobody else was in there. Doubt it was him, but another example of non-cave divers being in the mix...
if it was a cave diver, likely they won't enjoy covenanting the items alone...they'll brag about it to someone and word will get out...I hope, if this is the case...

Not my state of Virginia!!! We're the state that sells the guns to the criminals! I *think* but am not sure, that the sword event happened in Maryland. They're probably less "pro" gun than VA, but I don't think they're gun hostile. It was DC that had a total ban on guns until it was overturned.

Security cameras are fairly cheap now. You can purchase them at home improvement stores. Should the museum managers choose this option, I would be happy to donate money toward this purchase, and I am certain many forum members would also.
