    Jacksonville / Orlando have jobs.

I started Cave diving out of SC - 6+ hour drive, every weekend or 2.
Next I was in Orlando - 2+ hour drive, every weekend
    UF - 60min+, several times a week
Northern Gainesville - 40min+, as often as possible
Now I live next to the highway one exit down from Alachua
(unfortunately this year I've been diving less then when I was in SC)

the weather isn't that bad if you like it warm (I do). The temperature is moderated by being surrounded by water seldom below 50 or above 90 (though it hovers in the high 80's and humid most of the time).
Air Conditioning is not an "option" it is a necessity.

Foods not free, I have a family to take care of, that means putting a roof over their heads too.

Don't have to be rich, but McDonalds wont' put food on the table let alone fund diving.

Here's a shot of a wetsuit we left outside on the night of the 20th(February). At 7AM, the wetsuit could stand on its own. There were icesycles on the bottoms of them too :/
