An incredible report, one of the best I've ever read, I can almost taste the silt and see the vis.

(Ron's dive reports were so legendary he once won a CDF Best Poster award more than a year after his last post!)

Did you read this one? The weekend that the Madison Blue incident happened that made me carry the "I have left" cookie.

Russel, whatever happened to Ron? Did he stop diving? Why'd he stop posting?

Here's the story: He's an engineer for Boeing, working at Eglin AFB. When the CDF first started he had about four hours of work to do each day, and eight hours to do it. So he spent a lot of time online. Now he has about ten hours of work to do each day, and eight hours to do it.

He and Kim got into triathlons and kitesurfing so they haven't been in a cave in over a year. We get together in the summer for openwater diving and kitesurfing. But he's missing the caves, so expect to see them at Jackson Blue in the next few weeks!

And I've been after his sorry butt to start posting again. We miss his stories.

Oh OK. Thanks for the info. Glad to hear they are doing well, whatever they've found to do in life. It would be nice to see him again, and his posts.
