    Default P3 Conditions?

For anyone who has dove (or seen) P3 lately, what are current conditions?

    Thanks for your help.

Not sure of the cave's condition, but myself and 2 others did a cavern dive there on Sunday. The basin was covered in duckweed, and the cavern was pretty silty.

vis is about 20-30. pretty noticeable siphon
you can see a really strong flow in the run into p3. enough to push you down the run when you're floating there on the surface.
this is as of 2 weeks ago. might be different now

Thanks for the info. Can P3 be done in backmount?

    Thanks.

    yes

It actually tends more to a "big creepy rooms with low vis." don't get off the line farther than you can see it - motif. (at least in the beginning)

We were there on Sunday but had a hard time locating the mainline. We went down past the sign and ran a line until it started getting fairly tight. We still did not see the gold line. Did we completely miss something?

    Yep, the mainline

When you get to the sign, go right, way right. I know the first time I went in, straightish seemed to the correct route. It's not. Once you go right, the cave will turn a bit to the left, and you'll find the gold line tucked in a little niche on your left.

You went the wrong way. Look at this map.

At the entrance you probably went straight instead of right.

    Edit: Dang you, Shirley!
