Only a few people like to get in a car and just drive... not always knowing where they are headed...
It's not as common as you think for people to enjoy going down a cave passage without knowing "where it goes" before getting there...
I think that a lot of the joy for me in cavediving is _not_ always knowing where the passage leads...

I'm with you guys. most of the systems/passages I'v e been diving lately don't even have maps...at least not that anyone is willing to share...
