    Default Sumter Cty..>Sinks & Ridges

    Hey Gang,

Just thought you would like to hear what I found around the Bushnell area: The sinks + springs I was told about doesn't appear to be much. But, on the other hand, I spotted some very likelly land formations, they may prove to be worth exploring. High banked ridges & low swallows that could very easily be something major. For now, that 's about all that we came back with. Next trip out that way, we'll see what we can get into.
    Have a good one.

You might want to save yourself some time and get with some cavers from The Tampa Bay Area Grotto.
There are alot of caves in Sumter county and the TBAG folks know about most of them.
One of the best new discoveries in the past 3 years in that county Brooksville Ridge Cave. TBAG also has several cave diving memebers and they can tell you about most of the known dive sites / possible sites. A lot of the good stuff is on private property so don't forget to get permission.

Of course, no matter how much we look, there always seems to be more out there !
    Happy hunting
