You may catch these same words on my reply to the peacock conditions... but if you are surfing the dive reports trying to find a place to dive, especially if you are headded in from out of town, you need to forget about peacock, little river, ginnie, etc and head west to the millpond in Marianna. the beforementioned caves are diveable but not up to their normal standards, however when everything is flooded and crappy, the millpond always provides a great experience. Jackson Blue blowing clear 100'+ viz, hole in the wall and twin cave are showing 50' or more viz. If you've never dove out there, now is the time to head there. Up until several years ago I was a religious high springs traveler (from iowa!) and upon buying a scooter from cave adventurers took up Edd's offer to get some free instruction and gas if I came out to Marianna and I fell in love with the place. One body of water, 4+ diveable caves, great gas fills, head spring (jackson blue) land accessable 24 hours a day, the others via inexpensive boat rental from a dive shop on the water (Edd's)... (not to mention if you have a boat there are more caves than we can count on the surrounding rivers- chipola, etc) I love this place so much I moved from North Carolina to Tallahassee not 3 months after diving there, now I live in Jacksonville, FL and am already planning my retirement dream home in Marianna and I'm only 27..... get out there and dive!
