When ya ask about visability, you have to concider if the responder is a former Great Lakes Wreck diver..... "I can see 20 feet forward, and I can see 20 feet backward...so thats 40 feet of visibility" Have a safe dive, I'll be there this weekend...Ken

Makes sense to me! What's wrong with that logic, Ken?

    LOL!

Maybe we should use A = Pi x radius squared - "I can see 20 feet in every direction, so there is 1,257 (square) feet of visibility."

Or V = 4/3 Pi x radius cubed - "I can see 20 feet forward, backward, side to side, up and down, so there is 33,510 (cubic) feet of visibility."

The vis is improving by the minute!

Going to be diving there today and this weekend too.
    I'll post a report.

I like the front , behind thingie , but what if you NEVER look behind because something might be a gainin on ya. ???!!!

Can I take the behind vis and put it in front?
    Hey , that's a great idea ( lol )

OK , just got out of P1. (Friday Afternoon)

New Gold Line put in from Cavern to just down past the Breakdown Room (Peanut Tunnel). Looks spiffy.

Vis on the Peanut side getting better (SMILE)
And vis on the PotHole side has almost doubled from last Saturday . (yahoo)
Well , maybe not doubled , but it sure looked better to me.

We did notice some brand new scrapes in the Crossover tunnel. (UFFDA) sigh
It's really easy to see if something has happened since the flood now. Stands out like a sore thumb.

Things all in all ARE getting better , slowly...Less tanic on the Mainline side. And just maybe a whiff of flow on the Peanut side.

    Thanks!

Russell and I went up the peanut tunnel to the peanut restriction on Sunday the 5th. Vis was not bad, around 50 or 60 ft, though there was some haze in the water. Tunnels are darker then usual. The line is draped with mung at various places.

    Spent the weekend in Peacock....

Orange Grove basin was murky, ran line from the surface rocks down the face to the trees. Inside cave viz was a tad less than stellar.... but otherwise very nice conditions... Zero duckweed on the surface.

Pothole tunnel was slightly tanic, an orange hue and limited viz, maybe 30-40'...

Peanut tunnel was a markedly better, but still not pristine like previous visits...

Nicholson tunnel had lots of dust about and fauna covering the lines made for a downright spooky dive...
