Harvey Boyd passed away

Harvey Boyd lost his long battle to Leukemia. Harvey had been a cave diving fixture since the mid-90s,along with his wife Jennifer,you'd see them every weekend. His diving interest expanded to Mexico,time with the WKPP,and then eventually his primary love which was video. He started Cavex2 Productions,and you'll still find these videos for sale at different dive shops. I am going to miss Harvey,but his memory still lives in the pages of my log book.

That's terrible news, Kelly. I'm really glad that I got to meet Harvey and hang out with him at least for a little while and his videos will keep his memory with us. My sincere condolences to Jennifer and the rest of his family.

Same here, Kelly thanks for the info. Harvy was a special person. I got to do my very first FL cave dive with him in Peacock. Did several dives with him in many of the beaten path. He is one diver I will never for get and have man yof his video's (many you are in also).

Harvy, have a good time exploring the awsome caves and laying line were you are so that you can show us all one day.

I didn't know Harvey very long or all that well but we did dive together once and he was a real gentleman.

My condolences also to his family. My only dive up through the wishbone at Peacock was with Harvey and also Kelly. He obviously had a great love for the sport.

Our condolences to his family and friends. We never met him, but had corresponded by e-mail. We've gotten many hours of enjoyment out of his Cavex2 videos - in fact there's a stack of a dozen or so on top of the TV right now.

Man that is sad. I met Harvey while involved with the wkpp and liked him from the get-go. Loved his rebel spirit.

I only met him one time when I was first going to doubles. He made me feel right at home after telling me how his first experience with doubles was burying himself in the bottom of Catfish Hotel when the inflator worked a good bit slower than the single setup.

I first met Harvey and Jennifer in the early 90's when they started their cave training with me. Harvey was a big almost awkward kind of guy and Jennifer had all the energy it seemed. We ended up doing a lot of dives together over the years and I continued to see them at Ginnie on weekends off and on.
Looking back I would say that Harvey was a student who seemed to have a "passion" for the sport that grew with each level of certification. It was a quality that made him an excellent diver and an asset to our sport. He will be missed
