Cavedivers can be a snooty bunch to OW and non divers. Maybe they dont mean to be but Ive witnessed it as an OW diver and even now. I havent been to TDS in over a year because of a few instances in the past. Its easier for people to be a butt online. You cant reach over and slap em.

My son is in the panhandle, too.

As far as cave classes, there are some great instructors in the panhandle that can take you all the way to "full cave." Edd can point you to some, and many also post on here.

I have notices cave divers can be a bit snooty but nothing compared to going to a big triathlon and seeing has those guys treat "the weak" i think you will always get that in certain circles. But thank you everyone for the welcome

Cave Country Proper is a 35-mile radius around Branford, Florida. Call it bordered by Madison Blue in the north, Ginnie in the east, Manatee Spring in the south... Peacock , Cow, Telford, and Little River are considered the heart of cave country.

Some panhandle guys complain that the Mill Pond is the Real cave country.
