When you're feeling really good
There's always a pigeon

Under the rocks, and stones; there is water underground" Talking Heads
You know? From a theological perspective, God created this world and gave us the management contract over it. The mandate was to use it for the benefit of all. Of course, we'll one day give an account for just how well we did that. We don't own none of it. I'd be nervous about diving a system where I actively went against God's own directive by interfering with its opening to others' enjoyment. He could allow a 2-ton rock to fall from the ceiling and crush the heads of those in opposition. Just remember - What God gives, he can take away VERY easily. Reminds me of the Parable of the Talents found in Matthew. The receiver of the 2 talents was afraid and hid what he was given. In the end, he lost what he had because he was not a good steward of it.
Humanity is as much a part of nature as nature is natural to itself. You cannot separate the two. Nature cannot survive without us and we can't survive without it. We have to be responsible with its use, but in order to do that WE HAVE TO USE IT. You don't preserve something by closing it. That is a waste of resources. That's the equivalent of dumping wastes into it. It becomes useless.

That's why I don't dive on Easter. The Easter Bunny is nice enough to put out all those eggs and I figure if I'm not out looking for them he'll get pissed. Anyone who's seen Monty Python knows the damage a pissed off rabbit can do.
