Times to avoid cave country?

Ginnie is usually not full of drunk tubers on Thanksgiving. Sure, there are lots of campers, but I wouldn't call it a "zoo." Busy but it's a nice environment, I think. Usual tips apply: early is usually better, a rule that applies to almost anything in life where more than one person wants to use a resource.

Okay, it was a petting zoo!

There were kids everywhere, blocking the steps, in the way, etc. Not to mention there were 4 kids on 2-cycle mini-bikes riding around through the shelterhouse by Little Devil and all around the grassy area. Talk about breathing gas mix! Fortunately, mini-bikes are now prohibited!

We were on a table next to sidemount-Jeff and he kept telling us, "Stay positive, they won't be in the cave......"
