Met up with Dirk a Meg Diver at Dive Outpost in Luraville. We pulled a Madison map and decided on a plan. We would follow Gold Line till it ended at 1700' and on the way out check out some jump lines espically mount tunnel. Visibility in the spring basin was 50' and schools of mullet were circling. Cyrstal clear blue basin with only us and he rangers. We staged bailout bottles and a tank of 100 percent O2 in the water on the steps. The water level was very high with only a few steps out of the water. Entry through the cavern where the visibility was 30-50 feet. The Gold Line extends out past the stop sign near the entrance
Of the cavern (new to me). Flow was moderate and only noticeable at a few points in the cavern zone. Going past the stop sign the flow picked up for a short section but slacked back off as the cave opened up. Visibility was 30-50 feet but with a haze in the water. Silt was emtremely adbundant and easily stirred up even with Rebreathers. Potter's Delight had areas where the line was buried but easily plucked from the clay. On the way out we stopped at the Godzilla line and after installing a jump reel we swam in a short distance only to find the line buried by 8-10" of sand. I grabbed a safety reel to gap the buried portions of the line but being low on dil and not finding an exposed section called the dive.
