addexdiver went by Madison yesterday, and reported that viz is around 20', with high current. He didn't dive, just observed from the deck. He is on the road, and can't post right now.

My name is Shirley Kasser Creech and I approve this message. Well, at least one of me does, anyway. Maybe. Fire. Sharp things. Squirrel!
Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.
I doubt it, but it is starting to clear, so it could be fairly soon. A call to the park would answer that.
20 feet of vis, OMG that is almost crystal clear for us up here.

Back home - Thanks Forrest for posting.
The gates were closed and locked, with a paper sign saying closed until further notice. This was on Saturday 5/9/09 around noon, so I parked and took a stroll. I could see a large clear area out in the river when crossing the bridge and the headsprings were pumping like a mad (read normal). Heavy boil, the rope and floats were bouncing on the surface and you could see down just to the cavern. Water was green and about 4 feet below the main platform. Give it a little more time...mosquitos were getting very hungry, I guess they miss us...
