Went there Monday 5/4, conditions were great. OW was about 30-40ft of vis in basin, but once you get near the cavern entrance the vis clears to 100%.

The rains mid-week shot the water levels up. The basin won't be clear now, atleast not until you drop down under the tannic water. Cavern will be fine, as nearly always.

Excellent. Just looking for someplace close to home to get time on the CCR.

    Thanks

Mill Pond, Vortex, Cypress, and the rivers in these same areas all have divable stuff right now. There's no shortage of divable sites at the moment.

Check with John Peacock or the CO when they get back; they went to Morrisons today for John's recommisioning ceremony (underwater on Mk16s with Comms).

Here's the waterlevel gauge just north of Morrison, its a pretty damned good indicator.

Basin blown for the most part, cavern will be fine.

John just got back from Morrisons, and he reported the conditions as good vis; the same as we saw on Saturday, which were >50ft Vis, blue to the bottom from the floating platforms.

Too many divers and too much $$$ at Vortex. Cypress would be good but I inderstand you need a boat now to get to it. I may be wrong. I have been going to JB but Morrison is about 20 min closer to me from the beach side of Panama City.
