Earth Day
i just read that Bloomington, Indiana, sponsored a "karst and spring" study day for area school kids on Earth Day, April 22, 2009.
maybe it's time for the NSS/CDS and NACD to sponsor some Earth Day educational activities?

At my LDS we partnered with our local museum for an Earth Day celebration. We passed out fossilized sharks teeth to the kids and had a demonstration on scuba diving highlighting conservation and artificial reef construction.
