YMCA Camp Indian Springs Work Party April 25 , 2009 9-12:30 p.m.

Camp Indian Springs is welcomes you to its 2009 Spring work day party.
Keeping the Camp in working order through volunteering and donations
ensures its existence and preservation for years to come. Please be sure
to mark this date on our calendars. The Camp is hosting this work party
to place the newly constructed dive platform onto the supporting floats,
as well as, continue with many of its Camp upkeep projects. Please the
Camp or me know if you will be able to come out and assist with any of
these upcoming projects.

**Attendance from the dive community is extremely important because we
will be finalizing the Camp platform project by lifting the newly
constructed dive platform (currently on the spring berm) onto the
supporting floats in the spring basin. Thanks again to all those in the
diving community that came together to support the funding and
rebuilding of a dive platform between the previous work party and the
March 2009 Guide Day. Please try to make this event if you can to
support the camp in finalizing this project prior to Camp Season. **

The new swimming platform was sent down the makeshift ways into the basin. Thanks to all the help, especially those that waded into the water to help secure the platform and attach the floats.

We got the platform in the water faster than I had anticipated too. Everything went smoothly and now the kids have a new platform to play on. Mat and I ended up installing screens after we got it into the water and during that I rescued a field mouse from certain doom.
