Richard, I don't think that's a proper way to do this. If three people go out and get money orders and mail them to you, then you mail back two of them, that presents a hassle for the two non-winners.

Why can't you just say, "joethediver was the first to PM me, so he gets it?"

Whoever said money can't buy love never bought a puppy.

I agree with Sludge, I will bow out and get new tanks for 100 more...so much for cave diver ethics.

No problem - didn't see a note on it, I'll pass for now.

Asking about something doesn't tell me its sold, that says your interested saying I'm sending you money does this is first come first serve if you say I want them ill mark them sold. I hope we all understand sorry for (your) misunderstanding of my to the point statement.

A little bit of a grey area but I think the easy and reasonable solution is...

What I do is if a party says their interested but need more info, I feel they have first right of refusal but for the full asking price and they need to respond quickly after I supply the requested info, whether it's hydro date, pictures, etc.

If they indicate that "yes, I want it" I don't need the cash in hand to consider it sold.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

Let it be known that it was not my intention to tell RH how to do business. I was putting myself in the place of the buyer.

Maybe it should have been in the form of a PM.
