Peacock

My buddy Mike & I drove from Naples on Friday to dive Peacock. We stayed at one of Cave Excusions trailers (Runway) and really enjoyed the place. Dove Peacock all weekend.

Sat.

First dive up the Peanut line jumped over to the crossover tunnel, jumped again to Olsen, surfacing at Olsen then coming back the same.

Second dive went in at Orange Grove up the main line to approx 300 feet short of Challenge. I turned the dive (before thirds) so we could explore a little coming out and we were on a time crunch as we started the dive late and didn't want to get locked in.

Peanut line to Peanut restriction coming back to the cavern going up the Olsen line to Pothole. Surfaced at Pothole chatted a bit then went back down completing the dive. Only did one dive on Sunday (total in water time 1hr 40min) as Mike's Birthday was Monday and he was traveling north to see his kids for the night.

I dove with Mike (diff. Mike, Cave Excusions Mike) up the Olsen line jumped to the Dark Water Tunnel to check out & repair a reported broken line. No broken line was found. The water got a little dirty in the dark water tunnel & we exited and ended the dive. We had planned to poke around the system a little more after checking the line, but Mike's drysuit zipper broke before the dive & he was diving wet..and got a little chilly so we cut it short.

All in all a great weekend, great service from Cave Excursions.... What a way to get back into Cave Diving after having a eight month absence. Absence due to my PFO closure / Deco hit.

Hope to be back in the area in April.
