Is Teleford still only assesible by boat?
It isn't accessible by land, but you don't necessarily need a boat to get there.....several are swimming or scootering the river to get there....
...it's a 7-10 minute swim up-river from the ramp to the run.....the slog up the run in gear is tougher than the river swim......
did it a couple of weeks ago, and I am here to attest, the dive was worth the effort....

I can't remember Telford ever being not worth the effort. I have let that fence keep me out for too long now, maybe I will add that to the list for the next trip down...
PS Just so we all understand I meant, I will be swimming the river, not climbing a fence....
The last dive of my intro training was at Teleford, and as soon as I came out I made a mental note to come back as often as possible. That's been kinda hard here lately.
So what is Teleford ? Never heard of it :diverQuote:

A nice cave system in the area of Peacock Springs. Pretty popular, but the owner of the land around the spring has denied access to anybody because of an incident a while past. A real shame.Quote:

Well there are tradeoffs. You can have no (or difficult) access as in the status quo, or full access with no scooter or solo diving. As a solo diver that doesn't make me happy, but I certainly would rather have access than not.Quote:

Yeah, you need to do quite a bit of swimming with the scooter... but it's fun when it opens up. And the scooter is a great way to get to the mouth from the ramp.
I've left my car at the ramp - bit it was in winter, may be different in summer. Less traffic.

Yep - I've gone in there with sidemount, 2 stages and a scooter before. It was NOT pretty!!!

I guess my mistake was capitalizing "forum." The name of the forum is "Moderators." So it was the Moderators forum.
