I'd like them to be less than 5 years old.
There's a deal going on scubaboard and decostop for new ones for $170 plus shipping. I ordered two, and they were $200 each shipped including valves. Delivery was very prompt.Quote:

Wasn't sure if that would violate Rule 5, but in any case DeWayne has covered it.Quote:

If you don't want the valves, it is only $10 cheaper, so I went ahead and got the valves for spares.
Take care,

I had the same thoughts but figured I'd give it a try. If it got pulled I could always PM it to him. Andy does have a web site if I'm not mistaken. I just happened across that info and thought I would pass it along. If I see his url I will send it as well.
Thanks.Quote:

I can measure one tonight, but am pretty sure it is too tall to be an 80.

I don't really care if they are OMS or Faber...as long as they are the 7" diameter variety. IIRC, the 7" dia tanks are 26" tall, and the 7.25" dia tanks are 24" tall.Quote:

They also have slightly different buoyancy characteristics.

Just under 27" tall, with boot on.Quote:

Any further questions, I suggest you check with Andy. He is pretty responsive.

27"? Is that including the valve or not?Quote:

Mike
27" is without valve, includes about half an inch or maybe a tad more for the boot. That is consistent with the published height of 26 inches.Quote:

I am very confident I have Faber 85s, which is what I wanted. If you have further questions, I again suggest you contact Andy.
If he still has stock after the holidays, I may get two more for no particular reason than it is a hell of a deal....
Take care,

Dammit! Just goes to show...don't post after having a few drinks! I used the formula for area...DOH! :-D Had I been 100% sober, I would have realized that those numbers I gave were waaaay too large(at least, I hope I would've realized it)! :wink:Quote:

Wanted to say thanks to everyone. I was sceptical about buying used tanks and the information on this forum led me to a great source for new tanks. WOOHOO! I got them today :>
