Its wonderful in florida this time of year. Come for the cave diving. Stay because of the lack of fuel or safe roadways

Orange Grove to Cisteen will be open water diving, maybe even to P1.
Here is a unique idea, leave the cave gear at home, and come to use that time to volunteer. I am sure one of the state parks that are short of manpower could use help with clean up. Sometimes giving back to the community means a lot in landowner relations.Quote:

I think I covered most of the tourist caves without needing trimix and such....all closures are "indefinite", os assume you'll probably be having fun exploring what NON cave diving activities there are to explore around! I think you can find some. Lately I've been having fun with chainsaws and generators.

Are there any updates on the status of the state parks. How bad were the damages and any timelines for reopening?
Manatee is open. All others closed. There was a lot of damage

P1/P3/OC all opened today, with beautiful conditions on today's dive at P1. Slightly milky on Olson side, clear on Peanut side. Quite a bit of algae in the basin.
There's a primary, jump, and 3 cookies to Nicholson / Wishbone Tee that look like they were put in place pre-closure from the staining on the line and algae growth. no markers to crypt jump, so may be from a traverse that did not get cleaned up.
Little River is open as well. Running clear, river up to bottom of the metal railing. Will have free admittance tomorrow for Thanksgiving.
Eagle's Nest - 20' viz. Not worth IMHO unless you must dive it for some reason.
