Anyone in Central Florida want to split a Masterline Electric Oxygen Booster with me? It seems so immature to spend $9270 just for the convenience of boosting oxygen. But, Maybe $4k+ is an easier pill for me to swallow, lol

I'll just leave this right here.

That’s a low shot.. haha
Doesn’t that start to get pretty close to cost of a membrane system?
A membrane doesn't give you 100% oxygen boosted to 3500
Short term a masterline boosted costs a little more than a brand new Haskel (or even some used Haskels) When you look at long term costs, a Masterline makes way more sense. Service interval is long (can't remember length) and costs $25. It's all user serviceable. The Haskels I looked at cost $1000+ in parts for service. Add to that the fact that masterlines run forever, it makes more sense to me personally.
Damn... now you got me thinking bad thoughts....
There are sierra boosters (a non-oxygen masterline) for use in mining that are in use 30 years later.
I?ve got a sierra booster for sale. Its safe for nitrox up to 40%, trimix, air, and argon.

So these function as a stand alone compressor? Or just for boosting like a Haskell?Quote:

There was just one on E Bay, I did not check to see if it sold or not.Quote:

WHY ON EARTH would you want to walk around with a cylinder of 100% o2 boosted to 3500 psi???? isn't that like a mobile oxygen bomb???????Quote:

Better 3500 than 10,000...
Kevin J posted these over on RBW a while ago when talking about inconel spheres:https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?sha...1&share_type=t

I get my O2 delivered from Air Liquid in 50L cylinders at 300bar. as long as I maintain a 5 cylinder cascade I can always transfer 270 Bar to my 300Bar O2 tanks. For the ability to pump 30-50 bar more into them having a booster is too expensive.
If the highest pressure I could get O2 from the supplier was 2400psi I would certainly have a booster, set to stall out just below 5000psi.

Where do you dive. That happens everyday in cave country. I’m shocked you dive in cave country and haven’t had an oxygen bottle filled to 33-3500.Quote:

I started off in Cave country.... Currently in Nashville. I can understand boosting Nitrox blends up to 3500... but pure o2 to even 3000 seems a little crazy to me.Quote:

Throwing a little hp oxygen in the mix isn't going to worry much more.
I still want one of these if anyone hears of one coming up for sale. :)
