River is dropping. You will be fine.

The flow was still pretty low this past Monday and vis was better than I've ever seen. I'm not sure I'd call it Ginnie clear but definitely better than Peacock last week.
Is peacock not clear? I have been there in september and the viz was good, not as good as ginnie, but still good. Little River had then around 10m.
Sometimes I think you call 10m viz bad there in Florida :D
peacock is dependent on classes these days. I've entered P1 to a blown entrance. Clears up once in peanut tunnel. Get there early to avoid the crowds
If anybody dives today please post a report... I'm very curious to know about the flow if the river is dropping. Typically the wife and I don't dive this cave because the flow is not enjoyable. If it is still low this weekend I'd like to give it a go

we are going to hit it tomorrow... we'll post an updated report
I was there yesterday and it was bsautiful...crackling clear, virtually no flow, 98ffw, etc.
Just got home. Was wonderful, I would say flow is about 25% of what it normally is. So let's call it mild. We also dove jug hole and conditions were fantastic as always! Definitely time to get out and dive Little River while the conditions are holding. Visibility was in the 70-foot range.

So happy to hear this...planning to dive there Tuesday!
Please hold this viz and current for 2-3 weeks :D
Spool found 1/20 on table, no double ender or markings, left it with Thomas at CE.

Dove it this morning. The flow was up just a hair from last week and the vis was down just a hair, but it's still a beautiful dive.
Did a swim dive out to about 1600 maybe 1700, turned it just a little past the dome room. There's a sizeable jump on the right just a little before the dome room, Is it worth bringing a couple of stages to have more time to explore that tunnel or does it pinch off quick?
There was a storm brewing so I expect the conditions won't last too much longer.

Anybody know how little river is doing after yesterday's storms?
The river is going up fast. The spring will be great for a couple days, but may go under soon.
Dove little river today... Amazing conditions. Gin clear water, very minimal flow....like zero need for pull and glide while wearing rebreather and a stage kind of minimal flow. Water level was just below the level of the path around the water when we started... 4 hours later, it was over the walkway and touching the retaining wall. River is rising quickly...
I know in the past I've dove it when the water was about 8 inches over the retaining wall. Much over that and it blows. If the water is rising at that rate it's not going to be long before it starts reversing.
That'll make for an easy ride in, might need help getting out though.
I dove it in February or March 2006 when the river water was 3 or 4 feet over the top of the retaining wall - up to just below the second landing on the stairs, and it was still clear and outflowing. But with the low flow state at the moment, I bet you're right - it'll reverse if the river goes up much more.
Well, shoot... I wanted to check it out while the flow was down this much.
Just heard from some divers that Little River is browned out and Peacock will be undiveable by Saturday. Damn, conditions were perfect.
that sucks i was really looking forward to getting in there tomorrow
Can someone explain why the Suwannee is rising at most stations, but falling at Troy Spring?

The level of the Santa Fe by my house is also dropping. I was having this discussion with a friend earlier this week. I am sure there are a lot of factors, but for the Santa Fe, its just a factor of the input Volume - the output Volume.. Right? I was wondering if the increased flow of the Suwannee might actually be pulling water out of the SF at a higher rate kind of like a venturi.
It's not actually broken. They just had the wrong feed going to the webpage. It should be fixed later today for them.
However you can see the correct Troy data here: http://www.mysuwanneeriver.org/portal/springs.htm
