Nov 8th is now marked on my calendar
Since moving to Florida I no longer know what a calendar (or a clock) is for, but I'll be there!
These are great events, I'm looking forward to it.
We will be there and hopefully have a few new things to show off. ;)
I'm moving a big ugly thing up north...if the timing works I'm thinking of bouncing straight down for this right after.
Fingers crossed, the timing seems almost perfect with today's developments...c'mon Mother Nature, don't mess with this please
Would be nice to see you again Bentley. Let me know if I need to clear up parking for you!
Terry- you are going to be there anyway. Survey class.
Edd has "Customer Appreciation Day" dialed in almost as well as his trim and technique. (He needs just a little more experience :)
Last year was a blast and I'm looking forward to it. See you there!
We look foward to seeing all of you. I myself can't wait though it means lots of hard work.
You are right, I was smoking crack- survey is the weekend prior to the Appreciation day.
I would have loved to be there at the appreciation day, but as coincidence would have it, this is the same day as the Santa Fe cleanup to which I have committed my "trash collecting services".
I just may have a clear spot in my schedule.... Might just have to make this work!
What time is the park closed? Or has there been any discussion of camping?.... Errr surface intervaling there overnight? Is there power there or would a generator be warranted for such a surface interval?
Just called Cave Adventurers, they're gonna call the park and get back to me on whether they'll allow it or not. I'll post up when I get word.
Sounds like they allowed camping for the New Year's Galaxy dive, but fingers are crossed that they'll let us do it again!

I appreciate the effort to get permission for these special events, hopefully it can be an ongoing thing. Unfortunately Bently and I were riding together so I won't make it to the area until after Thanksgiving.
Hoping to get everything done today so I can drive over this afternoon. I have a few new things folks might be interested in seeing. ;)
It looks like it will be a great weekend. Highs in the upper 60s, and lows in the 40s.
Yep. Two of us from the Old Dominion and possibly a third from Floridaland.
Looks like we'll either be staying at the park or in Marianna, unless someone wants to let us crash with them up near the Millpond?
Sunday night we'll be heading towards Luraville or Fort White.

Had a great time at the CA Customer Appreciation event today. Thanks to Edd, Stacy, and the CA team for a super time, door prizes, and lunch. Met a couple of new friends, Zack, Josh, and Chris and saw old friends - Jon, Bobby, Forrest, Mark, Russell, Lynn, Fred, Kevin, and I probably left some out. Thanks again CA!
Round of applause to the Cave Adventurers team for another great day at JB. In my appointed role of "chick handing out raffle tickets" I got to meet EVERYONE; a great opportunity for a newbie to start putting names with faces and vice versa. Looking forward to seeing all of you on the pond in the years to come.

I had a great time too. Lots of good diving, and great people there.
I think this was one of the best ones yet, and I think I have been to them all. I know the venders was off, guess they are getting ready for DEMA but the food and prizes could not have been organizes any better. The only complaint I had was they all started eating while I was still in the water.😂

Yes Bobby did a great job. Got to see some of the new Light Dude products with out having to go to DEMA. Well Done.

I had a blast! I also missed out on some of the goodies while underwater. No in-cavern cookie tray Edd? Really??
Thanks to my great dive buddies: Sandy on Saturday, and Oliver on Sunday. Thank you both for showing me new things, I really had a lot of fun. Forrest, I'm sorry we didn't get our timing right to make a dive happen, but I hope to catch you next time.
While I missed the cookies and the UWLD demos, the busy Saturday dives were a lot of fun...BUT, I will say that Sandy and I came to quite a scene (caught on video actually) on the way into our second dive that was a good reminder than even the top of JB can get pretty full...and messy... Overall though I really enjoyed the courtesy and great control exhibited by so many divers negotiating the limited space. I tip my hat to the class acts at this event, and those who made it happen, cheers.
Ah yes, and for all those who inquired, Zorro was completely wiped out and immovable at the end of the event, even more so on the long drive home Sunday -thanks to all who helped to make that happen.
Yes, that's him.
any word on whether and where the video from inside JB can be viewed? I was told it would be up online, but I don't know where.
Y'all are killing me! I sure wish I coulda made it! COOKIES!!!!
Glad all had a good time :)

I'll just leave this right here...

Wow! I just printed off the recipe. My brother, brother in law and I are doing the shopping for our deer camp this afternoon, and headed into camp tomorrow morning. This will make a great addition to our usual appetizers of bacon-wrapped chicken livers and bacon-wrapped scallops!

Mmmmmm!
Shirley,
Sorry so late but I was working lately. Sorry for your lost of your son and my brother. We, as Marines, don't forget. Respect and rest in peace Cameron. Would love to have seen you at REACT.
