Jackson Blue in Mariana is accesable 24/7. They even have lights under the pavallion. If you have a boat there are lots of others but JB is my choice because of the easy access.
Well, I guess if out that way there is Vortex, too...
Cow, if you get the key from Cathy. Suppose you could walk in to Little River from the gate. Both are closed until the water levels drop.
Wouldn't that be breaking the law at LR? Looking to form regular habits, not just a one off sneak dive...
Getting a key at 2 in the morning sounds deeply inconvenient to Cathy...

Telford and Kitty Sink would be possible. You'd have to make the arrangement with CE to dive Kitty. The spring tunnel is a great dive, and not far from the entrance. Telford is just a pain, but a scooter trip up the river isn't as bad.
Don't think I want to scooter up gator alley at night, solo, to dive Telford. Maybe I'm just too conservative, but I think I'd have a hard time enjoying that. Don't know much about Kitty...
Kitty is part of Lafayette Blue, but Bill R. owns the property. The spring tunnel has significantly better vis than the rest of the system... it can be a bit of an adventure getting to the jump depending on the vis.
Charles and Ruth might be possible too. I don't remember if there is a gate at Charles. None of there are even mildly resistant to flooding.
Then there is the question about diving solo at night with a reasonable expectation of exiting and having your car there with all the windows intact...
The banjo music bothers me at night when I am alone coming out in the dark from a cave dive in some of the backwoods areas. I've been running down the river at night and see campfires on the bank and as you go by they start shooting. I also came up from a dive once at night and a drunk redneck started threatning me because my light was to bright. Luckily his buddies came over and took him away. They started apologizing for him and said that moonshine made him angry and he was just looking to fight. I was standing there with tanks and a scooter still hooked to me. All I could think was I guess I can hit him with this al 40 as I was holding it.
Kinda why I like some of the more touristy spots for diving alone at night. I came out of Ginnie one time at about 1 AM on a holiday weekend. As I was walking from the run to my car, the pavilion was packed with a party. Before I could get to my car, they all started applauding and chanting "Scuba Joe!, Scuba Joe!..." Kinda funny actually.
But I like parking under the lights when I leave my car to fend for itself. I also like the warm showers after diving on a cold night.
You could add Telford to the list. I have done it at night, using a scooter to get to the run from the boat ramp.

I was diving cooper river for those big old sharks teeth and gators were everywhere. we back rolled off the skiff with several of them all watching us. I was concerned. The boat captain said not to worry, gators don't eat things in the water, they lie in wait at the water's edge and grab stuff that comes down to drink, swim, etc. So we did a weekend of diving with gators and we had no trouble from them at all. The next week on Discovery Channel I watched underwater footage of SC river gators catching and eating large fish...underwater, swimming after them, very predatory.Quote:

Convict, JB, twin, hitw, rock bluff, mearson, cow, kitty/trap, Telford, luraville sink, eagles nest, gator sink, Indian (no solo), church, Morgan (ask nicely?), Wilson (local landowners are friendly), vortex, cathedral, ginnie
Seems to be options, but many don't often have amazing vis.

We were on the Peace River enjoying a clear evening, watching bats and gar in the river when I shined the area we load and unload canoes.
There was a thumb sized eye that slowly faded.
I remarked that that was a nice gator not your typical 6' or less.
Then came the reply we haven't seen any gators here! I smiled.
In a few weeks they sent me the photo's nice 8+ named him Scampie!
He or she is the guardian of the launch.
So far that is the FFG has been down there gunning for it several times.

I used to dive JB All the time at night and solo. Never had a problem with access or my belongings being disturbed while diving. They even have showers to clean up for the ride home.
