More speakers to follow
Tony, do you know if they will be holding an IUCRR certification class?
I am not Tony, but I know they are. I am taking it.
Could anyone explain what the "rebreather try dives" entails? I will be doing my Cavern/Intro class May 18-22 and plan to hang around and attend the May workshop think it would be awesome to try a rebreather. But something tells me it's not that simple haha.
Well I really hope that is the case. I guess I'll sign up for it and just hope for the best.

I plan to show up! I tried to contact an organiser about offering to give a talk on some aspect of UK cave diving but have not had a reply so it looks like Rick and I will just be there for the beer. FW will be our minder.
Try reaching out to Jim Wyatt Workshop Chair at
Jim@cavediveflorida.com
Whoa! I'm sure gonna miss out. I have a wedding that weekend.
If the organizers don't schedule either you or Rick for a talk then everyone else is gonna miss out too. My votes for a talk on anything either one of those guys wants to talk about.
And of course I vote for FW failing at his minding job. :)
We have arranged a CDS rate at the Holiday Inn in Lake City. It is Memorial day weekend, so the best they could do is $99. They are holding 20 rooms and if they fill up they can add more. Here is the info they sent:
We are excited to be hosting your group. The accommodations are now ready, and your guests may begin making reservations at any time. They may either call us directly at the number below, or toll free at 1-800-HOLIDAY, and just mention the "NSSCDS" group either way (Group Code: "NSS"). They may also use the booking link below, and just choose the appropriate dates in order to see the special rates. The deadline to book in order to receive these special rates is May 2, 2014. Rooms which have not been reserved by a specific individual will not be held after that date. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me or the Manager on Duty. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you!

Good news! you can still register via Eventbrite!
https://2014nsscdsworkshop.eventbrite.com/
The NSS-CDS facebook page says that preregistration with t-shirt has been extended till May 20, eventbrite site says sale ends May 23. What is the actual date and can one pay at the door and still get a t-shirt?
Also, I don't suppose that the springs will clear up in time for the workshop (other than Manatee and Ginnie). How will that impact some of the diving events (held on the 25th?) and is there some schedule of times (and locations where applicable) for the diving events?
Hey Guys.... Some have asked about FREE T-shirts with Pre-Registration. We have worked with vendors to be able to put in our shirt order at the latest possible date, to give everyone ample time to register and get their FREE shirt.
TODAY is the absolute FINAL day to get your free shirt with pre-registration. The cut off is tomorrow May 13th at 9:00 EST, if you don't make the cut off we still encourage anyone planning to come to the workshop to pre-register.
Pre-register @ https://2014nsscdsworkshop.eventbrite.com
You're not going to believe this, but you can still order tickets for the workshop at Eventbrite! https://2014nsscdsworkshop.eventbrite.com/ The free pre-registration T-shirt is no longer available but you can see the wonderful photos of Mexico's caves in Ricardo Castillo's presentation.

Due to popular demand we have added more guided dive slots for the Cave at Blue Grotto. There are 15 more slots available for the Sunday following the Workshop.
Also the owner of Blue Grotto, Kurt Huber, has graciously lowered the price of admission to $25 for guided divers from the Workshop.
If you want to grab one of these spots, do it fast at : https://2014nsscdsworkshop.eventbrite.com/
Just a short post to say what a great time Rick and I had at the workshop and social. We have a few stories to tell, particularly when I was mistaken for a TV celebrity when we went for a meal on Saturday night. We also had to cancel Rick's nuptuals when he discovered that his furture wife had got married and moved away.
Now getting used to being on BST rather than FWT. ;-)
FWT = Out of bed while the stars are still bright, and dawn is only a rumor. Breakfast in the Dive Outpost kitchen before the shop is open, or at a diner as the first customers, after waiting in the parking lot for them to open. Thawing icicles off our exposure suits. Carrying tanks to the water as the early birds are still tuning up, and in the water as the sky starts to lighten in the East... :)
