Celebrate the boulder removal and support the NFSA with a tee shirt and/or membership

Thanks again to Kelly and team for the removal of the boulder in Challenge Sink. Due to their efforts which required time away from work and family, they have made the area safer for us to dive. Time and effort was not just on Wednesday but also included much preparation time related to approval, communication with the state and park personnel, and assembling the team. While much work performed at Peacock, Madison, Jug, LaFayette, and Troy is the result of volunteer hours, the NFSA also needs dollars to support the parks. These dollars support water testing, tank benches, handi-treads, park equipment, the interpretative trail - items that the state may not have funds for. At the end of the day, the donations benefit all of us who use the parks.

There are several ways that we get dollars. Memberships for an individual are $15 a year for an individual, $ 20 or 25 for a family, and $50 for a business. In addition, we are fortunate to have several members who choose to give beyond that level of membership. If you are not already a member or have let your membership lapse, we welcome you as a member. As Kelly likes to say, a membership costs less than a nitrox fill. You can join the NFSA by going to www.northfloridaspringsalliance.org.

Also, we have tee shirts for sale for $20. We have most sizes and several designs. Without looking, I believe we have all sizes. All shirts are in black and some are tan/beige. I believe the three designs are duckweed, a PSSP map, and a warning sign. You can order them online at www.northfloridaspringsalliance.org.. If you do not see what you want, contact any board member. And if you already have a teeshirt, it may be time for a different design or buy one for a spouse, significant other, both , or child.

We only get to Florida every few years to dive but just wanted to support you and your works. So I ordered a t-shirt. Thanks for pointing them out. Can't have enough Dive t-shirts.

Bought the duckweed shirt already, but couldn't find a picture of the PSSP map shirt online. Does anyone have a picture?
What colors does it come in and what color is the cave warning shirt? The cream color of the duckweed shirt is great, but lasts only 4 hours on average before I stain it :-)

Diving t-shirts are supposed to be stained. Northeast wreck divers usually stain theirs with pizza, but a cave diving t-shirt should be stained with barbecue sauce.

I am surprised, sir, that a man of your many indisputable talents and acknowledged good judgment, a stalwart advocate for all things good and decent and true, would be eating at Taco Bell. Taco Bell is to Mexican food as Sonny's is to barbecue! :)

I would like a PSSP map shirt as well, but there is no link on the web page. I'll buy a couple of shirts this week. Let us know how to get the PSSP shirt when we make our order. Thank you Sandy!

I wasn't talking about Mexican food, I was talking about Taco Bell.

(I used to get KFC popcorn chicken on the way home from cave diving, but they discontinued it. Now I get two Beefy 5-layer burritos! And Fire sauce makes the world go 'round!)

Now that you make that distinction, it makes sense. To many people up here in the Great North Woods, Taco Bell IS Mexican food.

Tracy and I are still mourning the demise of a little three table Mexican restaurant that operated in our village for about two years. It was run by a local woman whose husband was from Michoacán, Mexico, and her recipes were all from her mother-in-law. Excellent food, quick, cheap, and two miles from our house. Not the type of place you expect to find in a village of 800 people in the middle of nowhere, Vermont. We did our best to support them, but in the end they went out of business. :(

Hi all, sorry for the delay. I am pretty sure the only shirt that comes in ceam is the duckweed shirt. The other shirts and the duckweed come in black. The map shirt is not yet on the website but it is similar to a shirt that was sold 5 or 6 years ago. It is a picture of the PSSP 1 map - probably a 12x12 space on the back of the shirt with the NFSA emblem on the front. I 'll try to take a pic of the old one today and past it. Thanks for your support.

For future orders, if you want to give color preferences, I can't make any promises but I can pass the results to the BOD.

Thank you, I like those designs and according to the site they can be picked up at Peacock, which I will do to check out the colors :-)

Oliver, At one time, these could be picked up at PSSP but not sure that is the case now. Your best bet would be to order or pick up from DO or CE as they also sell them.
