Freedom!!!
I've done all my cave diving to this point in Mexico. I thought the silt she was kicking up was pretty impressive!
Freedom. Let the carp live.
That is a lot of silt for one fish.
I say freedom again
Well, I am a little softie regarding animals, so I lean towards freedom. But also, *I* am not getting a fish dinner. Why should I root for someone else to get a fish dinner? And beyond that, Eddwinia is movie star. That's a harsh end.
Freedom!
I may be wrong, never having tried it, but barbecued carp just doesn't sound tasty.
Smoked Carp is ok, barbecued? Not so much.
Still does not sound that good. Now if it was wahoo or cobia that would be a different story.

JCG:-)
Yeah, but even yankees can learn. On our first trip to Florida in 2004, we ate at Sonny's and thought it was great. Then we started hanging around north Florida and eating in every hole-in-the-wall barbecue joint we could find. Haven't been back to Sonny's, but we built a smoker and started making barbecue at home.
I may have to rethink my position on barbecued carp - a skilled barbecue pitmaster could make even pieces of old wetsuit taste wonderful! :)
We'll be cave diving and eating barbecue in 11 days!
Hope you have been practicing your lights out lost carp drill.
FREEDOM!!!
I still need the first t-shirt.
This just cracks me up!!!! http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/ima...lies/rofl4.gif
They are about $30 with shipping etc., I finally ordered one.
I think we should start a 501c3 for "Save the Carp". And they could sell t-shirts to fund them-self.
I have learned...to drive around Atlanta rather than through it. :)
On the topic of lousy drivers, here in Vermont we're having our annual influx of leaf peepers. I have been wanting to put out a public safety announcement:
"Yes, we have mountains. The mountains have trees on them. In the fall, many of the leaves on the trees turn red, orange, and yellow. They are very pretty. We understand this. What we don't understand is why you drive 25 mph under the speed limit on twisty mountain roads while looking at the leaves instead of the road and trying to take pictures. Please pull over and park, and then you can look at and photograph the leaves all you want. Thank You!"
Then before too long we'll have skiers, trying to drive way too fast on snowy mountain roads with no snow tires, and we'll forget about how bad the leaf peepers were! In Vermont, "out-of-stater" is all one word, pronounced "outtastater" and it's not a compliment.
BBQ that fish! Net that thing with a fast presentation of stainless and light the hickory. It ain't gonna go to waste fo sho.
I prefer pelagic fish to bottom feeders but to each their own.
He has become part of the environment now, I think we need an organization dedicated to his protection now.
Can we get an update on Edwina? Is she still around?
