It's about that time for some new scooter batteries. Looking for a ss uv-26. Purchased the last set direct from submerge, they match up a pair of Genesis (G26ep) 12v, 26ah batteries. Have looked online and found batteries at about $175 ea from one source but was wondering if anyone else has a better source for new Genesis batteries or if there were any other quality replacement batteries at a good price point. Bill I know you can save money buying elsewhere ........or do you? I know in the past Rodney & Suzie culled through the batteries they purchased and rejected any that were not up to their standards. What you end up with are a set of batteries that that are well matched giving you the best performance and life.

Last time I got UV-26 batteries, Suzie told me to get them from their source, somewhere in NC.
when it comes time for me to buy extra betteries for my 26, I will be buying them from submerge. They won me over with customer service and I am happy to spend the extra money

Unless things have changed drastically, nobody makes much money on batteries. Submerge doesnt buy enough bulk to get a huge discount because then they have to warehouse them. Forrest and JJ1987 are both right on the money, buy them from the source closest to Genesis.
As for picking the best batteries, I believe Rodney feels he did that by selecting Genesis; where you get them from is not too terribly important. Especially when you consider some of the big battery sellers will run a free shipping teaser ;)
Did you ever get a new motor for that 26? I say that because you used to think yours was kinda slow...
Incidentally, TNR is where Gamble used to get his from and he was always happy with their service. I think they are in Sanford, near Orlando. Be there next week if you want me to grab them and bring them up to Cave Country for you the week after...just depends on how hot you are for them.
