I need to upgrade to LP104's. Anyone know what the value on my LP95's are? They were hydro'd this year. I'll put a current VIP on them before they sell. Just curious as to what two tanks will sell for. No valves, just the two naked tanks.

Rough guess w/current hydro an VIP $350-$450. Nice to have as a second set, if you can afford to keep them.
I can't afford to keep them. They are Faber, original hydro was like 94 I think. Let me look. Original Hydro was '99. Last Hydro was 10/09. VIP will be current when I break them apart.
I would love to keep them for when I switch to sidemount, but wife would kill me if I spend any cash on cave diving right now.
I gotta set of 104's that I'll trade with you. They are doubled up right now with current hydro and vip. I have not touched them since I went to sidemount.

IMHO if you are going to sidemount, keep them and carry a stage. Remember, a bird in the hand is worth a foot in the tush.

Yes 120s are the tank of choice for some...i would like a set of 120s and a set of 85s for sidemount...although my 108s work pretty well as a mean between them.Quote:

Are we talking HP120's? He said his 108's are a mean between 85's and 120's so I'm assuming they are LP120's. If so, they are friggin huge. Significantly bigger than LP95's and bigger than 108's.
not sure I was refering to the tanks deepairmike has. I know this thread has gotten way off track. I dont want to go much bigger then lp 95's (size wise) for SM
Adam, LP-120s are tall and fat. HP-120s and E-Series 120s are tall and skinny. We're about the same size, and I personally would consider these WAY too tall for sidemount.
But that's just me.
I have the same question, because if not, I have a set of 95s that I would trade for 104s too.
I have 60s, 72s, 85s, 95s, 108s, and 120s. When you're ready, let me know and come try them all. I think you'll find that 85 or 95s are the best size for you. My 108s and 120s are my trimix cylinders.Quote:
