Don't forget Edd's Customer Appreciation Day at JB on May 2. The flow is up and the vis is down, but it's still a great dive.
JB and the Mill Pond caves, Ginnie, Eagle's Nest, Wayne's World, Alachua, and many more.
Think flow will still be down in Ginnie?
I would love to go up to the Mill Pond area, but the drive from Naples is a little too long for a three day trip.
Ginnie was starting to pick up a little yesterday evening. More noticable than last weekend when there was no flow.
Vis isn't bad at JB, better than last week and way better than two weeks ago. Probably closing on 50-60' now :) Sure, its not the typical crystal clear stuff, but...
Plenty of stuff is divable, not too much of it can be driven up to hopped in though.
...and thank God for it :)
Little River 4-27-09, about noon.
Hmm, a little tannic, but we could tie off on the gate and .... :smt081
Is Jug open?
Manattee diveable?
Manager's Message
Manatee Springs State Park is open as of April 28. Due to continued flood conditions, swimming and canoeing/kayaking are still closed. The boardwalk is still under water and is also closed. At the rate the water is falling, we anticipate the level will be low enough to open the boardwalk and open for canoeing/kayaking by May 6. The swimming area should be clear and open again for swimming and diving by May 9. Call the park for current conditions (352-493-6072)
