After the recent change to the gold line in Devil's Eye, an informational sign has been attached at the Henkle restriction which communicates that, for conservation purposes, DPV's are not allowed any further into the cave. The back side of this sign is blank, and is NOT intended to be used in any casual, flippant manner to write notes of a derogatory nature.
Thank you all for your attention in this matter,
Doug Chappell
I assume there is a story behind this message? Something happened causing the need to tell us not to write on the back?Quote:

Perhaps someone could run back there and write on the back "Do not write on this side".
Or.....This Side Intentionally Blank :yawinkle:
Sounds to me like he was not saying you can't write on it...feel free to do so so long as what you write is serious and non-derogatory...i am already working on a haiku poem for my next visit.Quote:

As for me, not that I've thought about it before until reading this, but I'll write on that POS, stupid, cheesy ridiculous slate anytime I want, when I want, and how I want. If one is going to post an "informational sign" @ the Hinkel, then it needs to be a little higher class than that sad-assed stupid thing blowing in the current so you can't even see it.

Jack, in a haiku you need a 5 syllable line followed by a seven followed by a five. There are other elements but that constraint causes you to be a bit less verbose....BillQuote:

As to them fancy-assed highbrow High-Koos that the highly educated seem to like....I have never understood 'em.....BUT I do know when the Ginnie Gold Line Rippers have been busy doing their idiotic work. :smt013
