A Cave diver passes......

All, it is with an extremely heavy heart and complete and utter sadness that I share with you the loss of my dive buddy, best friend, and soul mate Ken. He passed in his sleep a few days ago. The good truly do die young.

Many of you that post and lurk here knew Ken.

I'll be hanging up my wings, as I don't think I'll be diving in any way anytime soon. Ken and I were very connected when diving, little hand communication was needed, if any. I don't think I'll ever find that again. It's very painful to even read about diving, especially cave diving.

Lori - I may not know you, but I definitely know what you are feeling on one level. I lost the 1st of my family elders this year.... the one whose family history suggested would outlast us all... It was a huge shock to us. It was hard to sit around the table yesterday. But we carry on... Because he'd insist that we do... And I think he'd have been very proud of us to be able to carry on and enjoy life as he did. I get the feeling that your Ken will be just as proud of how you choose to enjoy life in the time to come.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. In reading you post it was easy to understand in a few words how much love you had for each other. You have many wonderful memories and that is something no one can ever take from you. Be strong and use the love and support of your friends and family in these difficult times.

Oh my Lori, I don't know what to say. Ken was always a pleasure to talk with and dive with. This is a shock. My Condolences.

I am so deeply saddened at the loss of Ken and I give you my sincere thoughts and prayers. Ken was a great humble man............the professor.......I enjoyed and feel that it was a priviledge to know and to have dived with the both of you. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do. Mexico will never be the same without Ken there.
