Wes was truly a icon in the diving world, I cannot believe he is gone, I was just last night watching a waters journey... I am as well as all the community will miss him and all he has given us , my sincere simpathy to all off his family and freinds.

RIP Wes... your underwater images were the best. You will be missed.
Very sad news indeed. Rest in peace Wes.
Tragic loss for his family and the dive community. I'm grateful for his body of work that will continue to inspire others about the wonders of God's creation. My condolences to his family and friends.
I don't think anyone else has ever captured the grandeur of the caves like Wes Skiles. From the Deipolder shots to the recent NatGeo shots from the Bahamas, his work has a special quality that's never been duplicated. An incomparable loss! My deepest condolences to friends and family. His work will live on and continue to inspire for all time.
this one stings. I never met the man but his work has always been just phenomenal. and he always came across as a genuinely nice guy.
RIP
Sad news indeed. Didn't know Wes, but I know he loved what he did. It shows in his work. Jesus is coming soon and we all can get a chance to see him again. Condolences to his family and friends.
Gutted by this news. A grave and irreparable loss to the community.
What an inconceivable loss. As well as an icon of the cave diving community, he was a great ambassador; showing the public the beauty of the springs and the importance of preserving them. I only met him once, but like many cave divers I feel like I knew him through his work. The first Water's Journey movie was one of the reasons that Tracy and I decided we needed to go to Florida and take up cave diving.
Thank you Wes for all your work, and Godspeed.
Mike
