Or should it be sniper and bait? I am willing to to do the special detail when it is organized. A trip from up north to the springs for my friends in swat would be fun :-D

I came across this news article and it made me think of this comment. Man arrested for 226th time: http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/08/15/22....ap/index.htmlQuote:

Go to your local Veterinarian and buy some of the those pet id tags they inject just under the skin. You can get the injection gun (spring loaded) and all as a home kit for under $50.00, with multiple tags. They are then read by any handheld grocery ir reader. I suspect On-Star tracking devices are also available, but I've never used one of those.
A serial number no one would think to look for or try to deface.

Dang! When I saw this post with new comments I was hoping that they had recovered the scooter, caught the thief, and had a picture attachment showing the hanging. :hang
Heh,Heh,Heh. I've been wanting to use that emotocon :-D
Gary- hardly suprised, particularly if you mean GPD- C and I had our house broken into in E Gainesville, thief got away with a sizeable collection of weapons, computers, etc, the weapons alone were worth
10K- GPD didnt give a ####. It was two days before they sent anyone to even take down serial numbers. When I asked about fingerprints etc, etc, they just laughed. Told me to check the pawn shops.
Thanks for the help GPD. :butthead:
Guess they are too busy buying MD-500s and teaching their cops how to shoot from the helicopter. (What the hell good is that in Gainesville?)

That sounds like them.
I know there is at least one LEO on the board and I am a former member of the fraternity so I say this with “All due Respect Sir” (the LEO’s are laughing right now).
The Modern Police dept. is so overwhelmed with violent crime that they have instituted a program of assessing reports based on a “solvability chart” I know this because I was a recent victim of a petit theft at my home, one of about 15 victims of Emblems being pulled of our Hondas. Two days after the incident I got a letter that basically said we (Casselberry Police) have very little hope of solving this crime so unless you (the Victims) can provide a suspect we are not assigning the case to a detective. Well being the calm collected individual I am I called the Sergeant and explained why this was BS and gave him a couple of ideas of what they might do. I told him “how about circulating flyer is the neighborhood letting folks know this happened”. Well they did it!! And low and behold the mother of one of the kids found the emblems and the flyer and put two and two together. So what is the moral to this story? Don’t except mediocre response from you city officials and push them to do the right thing! If they won’t become involve in the local government. Join the Board of zoning adjustment get on a citizen review board for the police. Make a Difference

I like the idea of setting some bait, and trapping these felons. I would be up for helping, if anyone is seriously interested. Useless sacks of s%^t is right.
