How come there are not threads on The Deco Stop or Rebreather World? Were any pics Tweeted? I hope some pics were Instagrammed.

Wow! Volunteers go out and fix a problem so everyone can enjoy a great cave. People are gripping they can't see a pic, or it's not being posted fast enough or in the wrong place. Should be nothing but thanks for these guys.

I heard get the chain out from under the boulder was harder than moving the rock. Thanks guys for everything you did yesterday to open up the cave!!!!!!!!

You are right Kevin. Where their was a concern that the one boulder pitched 120degrees forward would roll down the upstream breakdown,and cause a silt out,everything fell right into place with an uneventful twitch of the chain. The boulder did land on the chain,and we had to completely unrig,and re-rig at another angle to pull the chain out.

I posted the events as they happened on my personal Facebook page ,but we posted notices on the CDF,and gave more detail on the NFSA site. There will be more detail in the newsletter about to be released in a few days. We are kind of like DAN,everybody benefits from what DAN does,but to get all the benefits you have to be a DAN member. For $1.25 a month you can have all the benefits. We are able to do many of the things we do because of the membership,and the more members the bigger voice we have.

My guess would be that none of the divers involved had any deco on this dive, nor were they on rebreathers. But they WERE diving in a cave.

The interesting thing Russell was when they moved the boulder they discoved the new deep section,which looks very similar to the one at JB. This exploration dive did result in deco,and further pushing will require CCR. This will be our secret...okay?

At least there is enough interest in what these folks were able to accomplish to want more details!

Actually, whenever you get ANY request to do anything, you hover your cursor over the request and a little X will appear; click the X and you will never receive another request for that app.

We went and looked at Challenge today and it was just beautiful and the rock-rock was/were just laying quietly on the bottom.
