Thanks to everyone involved in this project. Can't wait to "not" see the repair.
Me and my buddies Kerry and Wayne dove Cow only a few days after the "DIC" damage was done. While we were signing in, we were warned by Cathy at Dive Outpost that vandalism had occured and that it was pretty bad. It was my first dive in Cow and I fell in love. I was disgusted by what I saw and not only did I fantasize about new and ingenius methods to punish the perpetrator and make his/her life a living hell if we ever caught them, I also wondered how it could be fixed. So now I know. Thanks to all who contributed to this repair project.
I'm sorry but words cannot laud you enough. :smt023
Sincerely,
Merle Stokes
Gene Just sent me these before and after pics
these a 2 of over 500 he shot documenting the work this week
Here are the before and after photos taken at Cow Springs during these last three days of the project.
I took over 500 photos -- above and below water -- and Jill Heinerth shot some yesterday as well.
I'm going to go through and edit them tomorrow (Thursday).
It was an honor and pleasure being on this team and I really enjoyed watching Michael Angelo and Wayne at work at the clay bank -- which by the way; I was wondering if no one objects we could perhaps now call the "sistine chapel" due to our Michael Angelo's artistic skills.
And last but most certainly not least, and as Michael mentioned before -- a tremendous thank you to Bill Bowden for his wonderful and much needed surface support!
