Exploring "new to you" passage -- what do you want to know?

Yes. However having a good buddy and ample gas always helps. Having your buddy laugh at you doesn't help, but keeps things in positive perspective.

That describes 90% of my relationships... amazing thing is how long it takes me to extricate myself. Thank God I'm not on a limited gas supply there...

Usually for me I'm wishing I'd brought a different equipment configuration, more gas, or a different mix. :) So I think I'd fall into the catagory of wanting to know more about the cave heading in.

That's common in the beginning...at least for me it was. Now I'm either choosing my passages more carefully or getting more comfortable.

Those are my requirements. I don't necessarily need a buddy. Some of those passages are better done alone.

i'm still new enough that i need hand holding and foot massages.

ok, not really. but a buddy that's been there before helps me most right now. i'm not at a point of wishing for virgin cave. maybe that will come later, maybe i'll always be thrilled to be a line following cave tourist. i'm ok with either.

I'm with you, Marcy. New to ME cave is exciting enough!
