I always have an Underwater Kinetics MiniQ40 on my mask. I can be turned on in a half-second so that the line stays in view while I deploy a larger backup. I carry 2 large backup lights with homemade hand mounts. Including the MiniQ40, I carry 4 lights. Thus I can continue the dive even if my primary fails.
