I had a Triumph Spitfire for a short time. I drove it in Colorado without a top while I was a graduate student for one semester. I commuted from Boulder to Ft. Collins with it.
It was really cold! Plus, it had something different wrong with it everyday. I had to do a full safety check everytime I drove it. The electronics were whacky! I swear they were haunted!
That said, I would love to have one of them again. But now I'm not a broke grad student and I wouldn't have to rely on it to get me to class everyday from 50 miles away in freezing weather with no top.

We were stranded 4 times in Tanzania, Africa because of Land Rover break downs. The Toyota Land Cruiser didn't have any problems at all.

Our experience was with an MG midget, actually pretty much a trouble free little car, just couldn't get out of it's own way, but it was fun
